Double Cover Containers are usually used for large and weighty products that are too difficult to load into a box. For easy placement, the item is lowered into the bottom cover and the center tube slides over the item. The box is closed by capping the tube with the top cover. The top and bottom covers are interchangeable. The DC box covers are tray style and often extend a few inches down the middle of the body of the box.

How to Construct a Double Cover Container:

Before you begin constructing our custom Double Cover Boxes, please note that each box has three parts: a tray for the top and bottom and a tube middle.

First, construct the top and bottom: Begin by folding your box along the scores. Then fasten your box at the corners, securing the short flaps on the inside of the box with glue, tape, or staples.

Tube middle: Start by opening your box so that you have a three-dimensional rectangular tube. The bottom tray is placed on a flat surface. Load your item onto the tray. The tube is placed standing in the bottom tray, over the item to be packaged. The box is closed with the top tray. Lastly, secure this box with strapping material.
