Often used for storage and shipping, one of the most typical box styles is the Regular Slotted Container (RSC). Since the two outer flaps of a Regular Slotted Container box meet at the middle of the box to close it, RSC’s are always secured with a fastener, such as tape, staples, or glue. For more protection, you can place basic corrugated pads over the inside flaps.

How to construct your RSC style box:

First, open your Regular Slotted Container so that you have a three-dimensional rectangular tube. Then, fold in the pair of flaps along the width of the box. Fold in the pair of flaps along the length of the box.
Fasten the seam with tape or staples. Turn the box over and repeat sequence with the flaps on
the other side.
